I have recently moved to New Zealand on a work holiday visa for a year. I would like to gain further experience in the child-care field by working with New Zealand Families. I have a Honors Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, Infant and Child First Aid qualification, manual handling qualification, Children's First Protection Training, Facilitator in the Rainbow Programme and have full Gardai/Police Clearance.
I have previously helped out one of my mothers friends once a week at home with various house hold tasks including laundry, food prep, general house hold cleaning and babysitting on ocassion. I currently help out at the local pippins group in Tawa and have babysat overnight in the past .
Hello! My names Melissa and I'm here to help you! I have a month off between jobs and am available any time and any day until the 10th July. I can cook, clean and look after your children at the same time and am willing to put in the hard yards to give you a breather. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you
When I was 14, my little sister was born, and I took a great interest in looking after her! I have changed many nappies, dealt with tantrums, and know about the realities of looking after babies, toddlers, and children. I truly care about children and try my best to make sure they learn essential life skills such as kindness, safety, and how to have fun. I have a child first aid certificate. While I don't have a drivers license, I am an avid user of public transport, and enjoy going for walks and taking children on outings.

I believe that children should be nurtured and cared for in a home like environment, where they can socialize and learn alongside a small group of children. I love music and art and really enjoy sharing this with the children I care for. Activities that promote developmental learning are part of my everyday routine with the children. We share rhythm and rhyme, dress-ups, collage; painting, play dough, reading stories, puzzles, and quiet free play times. We also regularly go out of the home to explore the natural environment like walks, going to the park, library, educator/nanny and child get-togethers and some theme based outings that relate to the individual child's interests. A particular feature of the care I provide includes individual profiles for each child who attends for 16hrs a week or more, this records your child's developmental stages, interests, artwork stages and photographs. This is available for you to view at any time. Additionally, I keep a daily notebook which records the important and routine features of your child's day.

I will only be available from 4:30 onwards Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday as I have a full-time job also but can work till whenever. I am a young, fit and energetic female who loves children and animals. I'm currently studying Biology, Geography and Statistics at uni with hope to become a teacher. I'm very outgoing and have a good sense of humour along with a kind heart. I also strive to be patient and understanding.
I believe in a fun, firm and fair approach to childcare. I love encouraging kids to be creative and imaginative, and I'm not too proud to get involved in dress-ups myself! I try to be consistent with boundaries and consequences, and I believe its important to begin early when teaching kids about responsibility. On top of all, the needs of the child and beliefs of the family will ultimately decide my approach to the care of their particular child.
